Part campy musical, part horror film, THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW details the travails of a squeaky clean couple stranded at a creepy castle where the inhabitants sing and dance through a bacchanalian romp of murder, bisexuality and cannibalism. The madcap, musical mayhem begins when rain-soaked Brad and Janet take refuge in the castle of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a transvestite mad scientist from outer space who is about to unveil his greatest creation! Join Tim Curry, Barry Bostwick, Susan Sarandon and rock star Meat Loaf in the most popular cult classic of all time, now on our screen… and on our stage with the interactive, play-along-with-the-movie shadow cast, The Teseracte Players (in a show geared toward first-time RHPS “virgins”)!
ABOUT THE TESERACTE PLAYERS:
For nearly 20 years, The Teseracte Players have been traveling around New England. In that time, they have done some amazing shows in some strange and spectacular places (The Cape Ann Cinema & Stage being the latest). They’ve had a few home theaters along the way, but they have always been a traveling cast at heart. A few years at Chestnut Hill, then over to Hollywood Hits in Danvers, CinemaSalem, and the Coolidge Corner in Brookline. In the past few years, Teseracte has really grown, heading in all sorts of new directions. “Rocky Horror” will always be their one true love, but like all mature relationships, they’ve shadow-cast the likes of Joss Whedon’s “Buffy: Once More with Feeling” and his internet musical, “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog” as well as fan favorites “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and “Grease.”
